How your data is protected
- Data is encrypted in transit using modern TLS.
- Mailbox access tokens are encrypted when stored, and are deleted the moment you disconnect a mailbox.
- Access controls at the database level mean you can only ever see your own workspace's data.
- Sensitive server keys stay on the server and are never exposed to the browser.
- Sign-in sessions expire after a period of inactivity, so an unattended screen does not stay open forever.
Where your data lives
The platform runs on established providers, with the primary database and hosting in the EU. A few services used for sending and payments operate internationally under the appropriate data-transfer safeguards. The full list of providers and their roles is in our Privacy Policy.
Who controls what
When you store contacts and send campaigns, you are the controller of your contacts' personal data, and OSENBOLT acts as a processor on your behalf. In short, you decide who to contact and why, and we provide the tools to do it securely. A data processing agreement is available on request.
Your responsibilities as a sender
Good security and good compliance go together. As the sender you are responsible for:
- Having a valid legal basis to contact the people on your list.
- Keeping your account credentials safe and not sharing logins.
- Honoring unsubscribe and deletion requests promptly.
- Sending relevant, honest messages and not using the platform for spam or deception.
Built-in compliance helpers
Every campaign email includes an unsubscribe option and the standard List-Unsubscribe header. Bounces are detected and invalid addresses are stopped automatically. Daily limits and sending windows keep your sending within healthy bounds. These features support your compliance, but the responsibility to send lawfully stays with you.Reporting a security concern
